This spring is all about natural-looking beauty. The key products to achieve this natural-look trend are moisturizer to keep the skin fresh and glowing, and concealer to use where needed. In fact, it’s all you need to achieve a natural trendy look, but if you are used to apply more makeup products then make sure that the colors are natural and light. Mascara is a big No in this look, (but you can curl your lashes if needed) as the goal is to improve your natural features and not transform you.

Here’s a natural drink that can replace your energy drink, your morning coffee or you can just drink it during the day whenever you like. It’s simply water and freshly sqeezed lemon juice. The water can be hot or cold depending on your preference.

Lemon is a natural energizer, it hydrates and oxyginates the body so it feels revitalized and refreshed.

Drinking lemon water has many health benefits:

Excellent for weight loss

Decrease wrinkles and blemishes

Balances pH

Reduces fever

Boosts your immune system

The list is much longer and i recommend everyone to try it, it’s delicious and it makes a healthier you.

Lately, I have been more conscious about the harm of artificial chemicals in beauty products. So I'm searching for homemade alternatives, and you can find all you need in nature and if you look closer, your kitchen.

We all know that sugar is bad for your health, but did you know that it’s good for your skin? Yes, it’s a wonderful exfoliating scrub and you would be amazed by the results.
You can find sugar scrub products on the market but making them home is easy, healthier and much cheaper.

Using sugar as scrub releases the dead cells and rejuvenate your skin. It’s also nourishing, hydrating and moisturizing. I prefer using organic brown sugar but if you can’t find it, you may also use white sugar, it works too.

Here are two simple sugar scrub recipes that I tested myself:

Face and lips:

- Start by cleaning and washing your face with lukewarm water.

- Take a teaspoon of sugar into the palm of your hand and add a drop or 2 of water (or rose water if you have it).

- Apply on your face and massage gently without pressing for 5 min. Don’t forget your lips, it’s a great exfoliator for them too.

- Wash off with cool water.

Now your skin is cleaner, softer and smoother. Apply this face scrub 3 times a week for a month and then reduce it to once a week.

Body:

- You will need 1 part oil to 2 parts sugar. You can use any organic oil of your choice (olive, almond, jojoba…).

- Mix with a spoon and apply by massaging your body for 15 min using a bath mitt or simply your hands.

- Rinse thoroughly.

- OBS: make sure to clean the bathtub bottom, risk of slipping next time someone uses it.

Your body is silky soft and you don’t even need a moisturizer after. This formula is also good for your face if you have very dry skin.

I hope you find those formulas useful :)
